Hey there!  I'm Rita and as my headline suggests - I am an aspiring boxer..

I've been training doing boxing fitness since March and now I'd like to step it up and work towards my first corporate fight night.  I've been given the opportunity to train with some of the best in the New Zealand boxing scene and now I've accepted, I need a little help.  

Once I've had my first round of fight training and pass my initiation fight I officially become a fighter and can then work towards further developing my training and work towards another fight.

My start up fund will cover the following:

one on one personal training sessions

A mouth guard fitted by a dentist

Gloves

Hand wraps

Boots

Headgear

Training and fight clothing

I really like to inspire others into believing you can achieve your health and fitness goals if you apply yourself.  My family originally unknowingly motivated me into taking care of my health and wellbeing after a few close family members were terminally ill.  This highlighted the fact that taking care of myself is my responsibility and should become a priority.  

I do of course of my days where I doubt my ability and question why on earth I'd want to put my body and mind through the intensity of training but I remind myself that the battle of keeping fit and well is far easier to overcome than the battle of fighting a life threatening illness that I could have prevented.

Recently, together a few family members and I participated in Dry July.  My story was followed by TV3’s Firstline and shows more into my reasons behind my motivation.

Once I’ve achieved this goal, I’d really like to work towards future corporate and charity events.
