A High Octane Thrill Ride!

As a third-generation racer, Jono Lester has been chasing a career in motorsport since 2003, when he stood on the podium in his first ever car race.

Rising through the ranks and collecting accolades as he has done so has seen Jono become the Youngest Worldwide Winner of a Porsche Cups race at 17, be named the New Zealand Young Driver of the Year, win a President's Scholarship and a Junior Race Scholarship from Porsche AG and graduate from the prestigious Elite Motorsport Academy with honours.

In 2012, Jono's career took off as he travelled to Japan to compete for the PETRONAS Mercedes team, finishing second overall in the Super Taikyu Endurance Series. He bolstered this result with podium finishes in the V8 SuperTourers in New Zealand, and the South Island Endurance Series with the Fastway Racing Porsche 997 GT3.

Jono returns to Asia in 2013 to go one better in his hunt for the Super Taikyu crown, with the series expanding beyond just Japan and into Taiwan and Korea also.

This project allows pledges to become 'Travel Partners' in Jono's season, assisting him with flights, accomodation and travel expenses incurred in his nine return trips to Asia.

Top level pledges become a 'Premium Partner' (much like a sponsor) and thus receive various branding benefits incurred with this, while smaller pledges become a part of the team and receive regular updates from Jono with news and results, as well as a supporters cap to wear while they follow the action!
